ELLA CIGOGNINI
ABOUT
I'm a writer, editor and marketing professional from Melbourne (Narrm), with a passion for human interest storytelling.
Through the completion of a Bachelors degree in Communications (Journalism) and a Masters in Creative Writing, Publishing and Editing, I've garnered extensive experience across the journalism, marketing, social media and publishing industries.
In 2022, a peer and I were awarded the Ossie Award for an investigative project, reporting on misogyny and hate in online dating spaces. From then on, I found a specialised interest in women's stories.
As a freelance writer for Ramona Magazine, I've had the opportunity to interview a range of musical artists, from chart-topping Canadian rock band, The Beaches, to Australian indie artist, Phoebe Go. I've also been lucky enough to speak to quadruple-threat Yasmin Kassim on her burgeoning comedy career.
As a writer, I endeavour to bring untold stories to the front, to support communities through the amplification of voices and to bring passion and creativity to mainstream news.
